How do I print log sheets and scan them back in?

Fill sheets by hand. Snap a photo. The rows go into your records.

Steps

Print a sheet

  1. Tap More. Tap Paper logs: print sheets, snap photos.
  2. Under Print sheets, pick the log in Which log?.
  3. Set From, To and Copies.
  4. Tap Download the sheets (PDF). Print it.

Snap the filled sheet

  1. Write on the sheet by hand. Keep it flat and clean.
  2. Under Snap a sheet, tap Take or choose a photo. Or tap Use the camera here.
  3. Get the QR code (top right) and all four black corner squares in the photo.
  4. Tap Send this photo, or Take the photo if you used the camera.

What you will see

Saved,
or a question.

The app shows its progress: Reading the sheet, Understanding the handwriting, Matching to your records. Then the photo shows Saved, or the words Couldn't read, or a count of rows to check. Paper and phone go into the same records, so an inspector sees one complete log.

You can snap the same sheet as often as you like. Only new writing is added. The same exact photo twice says We already have this exact photo. Nothing changed.

Rows that are hard to read

  1. A manager taps Review now to open Check the photos.
  2. For each row, see what is saved now and what the photo says.
  3. Tap Use the photo, fix the number and tap Save this value, or tap Keep what's saved.

When nothing is left, the screen says Nothing to check. Every photo is in the records.

If it does not look like this

  • No QR code found? The app says We couldn't see the QR code in this photo. Tilt the sheet to cut glare, or tap Pick the sheet (no QR code).
  • The photo is blurry? It says The photo was too blurry or cut off. Try again closer, in good light.
  • The photo is too big? Try again a little farther away.
  • A message says photo reading is not set up? Call or text us. That is ours to fix, not yours.

Good to know

Check what
it read.

  • A row the app is not sure of goes to a manager to check. Give the other rows a glance too.
  • The app never writes over a saved value without asking.
  • A photo is not saved while you are offline. Take it again when you have a signal.
  • 17 of the 18 log types print. The plain checklist does not.

Can staff keep using clipboards?

Yes. Print the sheet, fill it in by hand, and snap a photo. It ends up in the same records as phone entries.

How accurate is the reading?

Rows that are hard to read go to a manager to check. Give the rest a glance.

Does the sheet work without the QR code?

Yes. Pick the sheet by hand if the QR code cannot be read.
