How do I log a temperature, and what if it's off?

1. Tap Do. Tap the temperature check you want.
2. Read the thermometer. Type the number in the box, or use the pad.
3. For a freezer, tap the plus or minus key to make it negative.
4. Look at the pill under the boxes. It says In range or Out of range.
5. If it is Out of range, you must say what you did. Pick a quick answer or type your own.
6. Tap the Save button. It reads like Save fridge temps or Save food temp.

The form shows the limit, like Cold holding must be 41°F or below. If a reading is off, you see What did you do to fix it? (required) with quick answers under it. The note says Any reading outside the limit needs a corrective action.

A reading that you caught and fixed counts as Caught early.

Forgot to write the fix?

1. Open the reading from your list. You see Write down the fix.
2. Type What did you do to fix it? or tap the mic.
3. Tap Save the fix.

If it does not look like this

• The Save button will not work? Answer every question on the form first.
• Your typing is gone? The app keeps what you typed and says We kept what you typed before. Check it, then save.
• The thermometer reads oddly? Check it first. See Thermometers and calibration.

• Every reading is typed or spoken by a person. The app does not read a thermometer.
• The app saves an out-of-range reading and flags it. It does not refuse it. You still write down the fix.
• Nothing is sent to anyone. The reading shows in your records and on Today.
