How do I sign in and sign out?

1. Open the app. On the sign-in screen, tap Email me a code.
2. Under What's your email?, type your email. Tap Email me a code.
3. Open your email. Find the six digits.
4. Back in the app, type them under Type the code.

The screen says We'll email you a 6-digit code. No password. The code works for 10 minutes.

To sign out

1. On a staff phone, tap Profile. On a manager's phone, tap More.
2. Tap Sign out.

You type the code into six boxes. The app says Checking the code… and takes you in. Some places also see Continue with Google. If you do not, the email code is the way in.

If it does not look like this

• No email? No email? Check spam. After 30 seconds, tap Send a new code.
• Wrong email? Tap Use a different email.
• The app says That code isn't right. Check the email and try again. Look at the six digits and type them again.
• The app says That code expired. Send a new one. Tap Send a new code.
• The app says Too many tries. Send a new code. Five wrong tries end a code. Ask for a new one.
• Signed out on your own? The app says Your sign-in expired. Please sign in again. Sign in again with a new code.

• Each code works once and lasts 10 minutes. You can ask for up to 5 codes an hour for one email.
• No phone or email? Ask your manager to set you up with a PIN for the shop tablet. See Set up a shop tablet.
