The problem
Why can't you
walk over and look?
- Your time
You can't watch every shift. You are on the line, at the bank or asleep.
- Busy days
On a busy day, the walk-in temperature is the first thing nobody writes down. Then no one can tell if it was taken. In Clark County, the inspector's grade goes on your door and online.
- Your reason
You opened to feed people, not to watch a clipboard.
Your day
So what does
your day look like?
Here is one day. It is an example, not a customer.
Open the app
Today says
Open for food
: Yes, or Not yet with the thermometer, fridge or sanitizer still missing.Nothing needs you
The list is short when the fridge and sanitizer readings are in.
One fix is waiting
It sits under
To fix
, by how urgent it is, with its name on it.One screen for the day
Close of day
lists what was missed, the problems, andWho did what
.
Open the same Today screen with sample data.
The price
What does it
cost me?
One price a month per location, set by how many people are on your staff list. Every feature is in every plan.
- Solo (1 to 2 people): $8 a month per location
- Small (3 to 6): $24 a month per location
- Team (7 to 12): $40 a month per location
- Kitchen (13 or more): $69 a month per location
- Church or community kitchen: $19 a month per building
You add a card on Stripe's own page. Reading paper sheets from photos is optional, at $6 per person.
When you type a name to invite, the invite screen shows what your plan becomes once they join.
Pick your team size and see one number.
True answers
Will my people tell the truth
if I can see it?
You see whether someone can work, not what they answered. That is so people can answer plainly.
Your staff read what they are told before they answer. You get what to do: OK to work
or No food work today
. Nevada asks the person in charge to tell the health authority within 24 hours (NAC 446.056). That covers a worker with jaundice, or a diagnosed Salmonella, Shigella, E. coli (STEC), hepatitis A or norovirus.
Read what your staff are told before they answer.
Inspection day
And when the
inspector walks in?
You hand over one PDF. It holds your permits, your manager certificate, any warm readings with the fix, and the temperature tables. It starts at the last 90 days.
It is a plain PDF of your records. Nobody signs or stamps it, and it does not predict how an inspection goes. Each rule names its Nevada source: NAC chapter 446, NRS chapter 580, or your health district's own regulation, like SNHD's in Clark County. In Clark County the result is a grade card at your entrance, A to C by demerits. The report goes online about 5 business days later. In Washoe County it is Pass, Conditional Pass, Failed or Closed on WashoeEats.com. The health district grades; we keep the record. With two places, each has its own binder.
Read more about the inspection binder.
The binder is filling from your first reading.
So what changes?
Close the door
knowing.
You look at one screen. It says which readings are in, which are late, and who can fix it. Then you go home.
Managers can also run the shift. See how it works or the other jobs and places in Nevada.

Questions
Before you
start.
Will I get an alert if something is missed?
In a browser, yes, once you say yes when the app asks. CleanCleaver sends no texts. A late reading also shows on Today when you open the app, with who can fix it.
What signs go on the wall in Nevada?
Your health permit (NRS 580.400). A handwashing sign at every hand sink (NAC 446.424). Where alcohol is sold by the drink, a pregnancy health warning at least 8½ by 11 inches, in English and Spanish (NRS 580.510). In Clark County, your grade card and permit where customers see them as they walk in (SNHD 8-403.2).
Do I need a certified food protection manager?
Nevada law says the person in charge shows the inspector they know food safety, and a certificate is one way (NAC 446.052). In Clark County, SNHD requires the person in charge to be a certified food protection manager, except in low-risk and temporary places. In Washoe County, Risk Level II and III places employ a full-time certified manager, with 60 days after opening or after losing one. The app keeps the certificate on file.
A worker got hurt. Who do I call?
Nevada runs its own OSHA plan. A death is reported within 8 hours; an inpatient hospitalization, an amputation or the loss of an eye within 24 hours (NRS 618.378). Nevada OSHA: (702) 486-9020 in Southern Nevada, (775) 688-3700 in Northern Nevada. The app keeps the injury report with the time and who wrote it.
